    Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Business Information Analyst to join our Ashland LLC, business at either our Dublin, OH or Wilmington, DE location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Financial Planning and Analysis function. This position will report to Vice President of Finance and Treasury.

    Description

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    •  Prepare, analyze, and publish accurate (daily/weekly/monthly) financial reports including business unit results and regional performance
    • Prepare and publish regular and ad hoc Financial Planning and Analysis reports in TM1 and QlikView
    • Administrate and maintain reporting processes for the Financial Planning and Analysis team
    • Support the Financial Planning and Analysis team by providing them the information they need to proactively advise business leaders in areas of: product profitability, costing, and operating expense analysis
    • Be involved in data refinements and cleanups for better analysis
    • Have the ability to take on new projects as required and be able to efficiently manage the existing ones.
    • Be available to participate in any ad hoc requests from Financial Planning & Analysis leadership.

    **This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

    Qualifications

    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    •  Finance/Computer Science degree preferred
    • 2-4 years of experience in Financial Planning or Budgeting in a manufacturing company
    • Working knowledge and skilled use of IBM TM1
    • Working knowledge of basic DOS (Command Line) and SQL syntax and script writing.
    • Ability to learn and use financial software and applications for the extraction and analysis of information
    • Knowledge and skilled use of Excel.
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and exhibit a positive attitude.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team structure in a dynamic and tight deadline-driven environment.
    • Possess strong analytical and project management skills and be detail oriented. Be a keen learner.

    The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

    • The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to handle multiple projects
    • The ideal candidate must be a trusted business partner for the Financial Planning & Analysis and management teams
    • The individual must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and maturity in working with confidential and sensitive material
