    Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a ServiceNow Business Systems Analyst to join Ashland LLC business at our location Dublin, Ohio. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Information technology function. This position will report to IT Service Performance Manager.

    Description

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    •  Responsible to determine stakeholder needs, architect solutions and evaluate high-level design issues relating to platform, enterprise software and integrations with other systems.
    • Responsible for creation of requirements, test plans, test cases and testing for any Service Now automation or modifications
    • Analyze and fully understand business requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities, automate process workflows and address scheduling limitations throughout the development and delivery of the ServiceNow roadmap for all environments
    • Identify and troubleshoot complex problems, perform root cause analysis, provide forward thinking, and long term technical solutions
    • Establish technical feasibility and solution designs for ServiceNow enhancements, functionality, new applications and services, conduct POCs to demo new ideas and help solidify technical direction
    • Develop processes and standards for creating and maintaining software documentation, including test cases, Peer reviewing code and configuration.
    • Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, QA, and production environments
    • Supporting resolution for defects arising from development work and platform upgrades.
    • Collaborate or partner with ServiceNow Platform offshore team
      • Understand the underlying culture
      • Clearly define and control requirements, milestones and objectives
      • Provide detailed system design documents
      • Communicate closely and often and be aware of time differences
      • Thoroughly test the delivered solution and always review projects upon completion
    • Perform duties of an agile Scrum Master such as hosting standup meetings, managing backlog grooming, handling backlog prioritization, removing impediments, capacity planning, and escalating to management as need.
    • 25% travel (10% international)

    **This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

    Qualifications

    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow implementation experience in complex environments and 5 years of technology implementation background
    • 3-5 years’ experience in soliciting, gathering and challenging business requirements for software development to ensure accurate level of detail with the ability to shape ideas into defined requirements (mapping business processes), use cases, user stories and persona development
    • Experience in creating ServiceNow process flows and dashboards and reports
    • Experience in developing test scripts and conducting functional tests in ServiceNow

     

    The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

    •  3 years of supervisory experience in managing the people
    • ServiceNow System Administrator, and ITIL Foundation Level Certifications would be a plus
