    Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Ashland LLC Global Engineering group. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company. This position will report to the Manager of Project Engineering and is located in Dublin, OH (preferred) or Wilmington, DE.


    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


    • Management, design, construction and successful start-up of domestic and international capital projects (typically $1-30 MM USD)
    • Projects include the upgrade and expansion of existing facilities as well as the construction of new facilities
    • Prepare project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates along with basic engineering and detailed design packages
    • Coordinate and lead internal / external teams and contract engineering firms
    • Travel requirements estimated to be 25-35% and will be primarily domestic with potentially some international


    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:


    • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline
    • A minimum of 7-10 years experience in managing capital projects in the chemical, pharmaceutical or heavy manufacturing industries
    • Proven ability to successfully construct and commission capital equipment and systems 
    • Project scheduling (MS Project, etc.), cost control and cost forecasting skills
    • Working understanding of P&IDs along with a basic understanding of ASME, ANSI, NFPA, and other industry standards for design and construction
    • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite
    • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline teams and motivate others 


    The following are preferred and considered a plus:


    • Master of Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline
    • Additional formal Project Management certification (e.g. PMI or CII)
    • Licensed Professional Engineer
    • Corporate-level engineering or project management experience
    • Capital project estimating skills
    • SAP experience and knowledge of international codes and standards 
    • Hands-on field experience in chemical manufacturing facilities with process and equipment commissioning, safety reviews, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
