    Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Ashland pharmaceutical and medical device business at our Bridgewater, NJ and Wilmington, DE locations. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the regulatory function. This position will report to Manager of Regulatory Affairs.


    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Develop and update Master Files for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, including periodic amendments
    • Establish and maintain regulatory statements and position papers
    • Submit applications, including renewals, for registration and certification to regulatory agencies such as US FDA
    • Conduct reviews of labeling and marketing collateral for regulatory and claims review
    • Monitor new and changing regulations to interpret requirement and their impacts to Ashland’s products and facilities
    • Participate in trade association meetings and webinars
    • Work together with plant quality and other EHS functions to support customers
    • Some travel may be required to support plants and customers


    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    • Some knowledge of product regulations, enforcement and industry practice relevant to the pharmaceutical excipient and medical device industries
    • 2 - 5 years of Product Regulatory relevant experience working with regulatory agencies such as US FDA
    • Bachelor or Master Degree, in chemistry, toxicology, biology or other science discipline

    The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

    • Professional regulatory certification preferred
    • Fast learner with a flexible style and the ability to adjust to changing business priorities and changing regulatory landscapes
    • Responsive and highly accountable: solution-, results- and action-oriented
    • Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to interface with internal and external contacts at all levels
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with peers
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously
    • Self-starter with ability to think and act independently and to make sound recommendations and decisions
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects across complex organizations
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment
