    Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a home office-based West-Coast Account Manager to join our Health and Wellness group. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Sales function. This position will report to the Sales Manager – Health & Wellness.

     

    Description

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Follow up on customer requests for price, service quotes, samples and support documentation
    • Manage and grow revenue with existing accounts and developing new customer relationships
    • Follow up on Leads generated through Ashland.com or any other relevant source
    • Writing and maintaining call reports through SalesForce.com CRM System
    • Develop a pipeline of Opportunities and progressing same through to commercialization
    • Promote Health & Wellness portfolio via “Lunch & Learn” customer seminars and joint technical visits
    • Interact across the different buying influences (i.e., Purchasing, Technical, Marketing, and Management) at customer accounts
    • Willing & able to travel frequently (30-50%)

    Qualifications

     

    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    • B.S. in Food Science or related discipline
    • 5-10 years of selling into the Nutraceutical / Dietary Supplement / Food Ingredient industry
    • Experience in selling value-added products and/or services
    • Knowledge of selling contract manufacturing services (e.g., formulation, spray drying, blending, agglomeration, Encapsulation, Packaging)
    • Experience in negotiating and securing business contract
