    Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a BioMaterials Technology Specialist to join our Zeta Fractions business at our Ossining, NY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Zeta Fraction function. This position will report to VP BioMaterials.


     The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


    Commercial Production of Zeta Fractions (i.e. Overall Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance, Operation of proprietary processing equipment, Operation of continuous flow centrifuges, Operation of other production and laboratory equipment used during manufacturing, Quality control process and records maintenance, Development of new SOP's, Cleaning of equipment, Packaging, and Shipping


    Raw Material Processing (i.e Work with Bio-material team to process fresh plants on Mobile Unit, Operation of equipment in Mobile Unit including grinder, press and QC equipment, Inspection plant raw material, Cleaning of equipment, Occasional travel for field work)


    Facilities Maintenance (i.e Maintenance of production and facility equipment, Maintenance records data management, new equipment validation)


    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    • Technical background
    • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
    • Ability to perform physical work for full shift.  Exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and up to 20lbs of force frequently
    • Ability to solve process problems quickly and safely
    • Ability to manage several processes simultaneously

    The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

    • Experience in a GMP production environment
    • College degree in engineering or science
    • Proficient computer skills
