Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Waste Water Treatment Operator to join our Manufacturing group at our Freetown, MA facility. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the Environmental Manager.

Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operate on-site wastewater treatment plant
  • Collect and prepare monthly regulatory samples
  • Operate a fork lift (training will be provided)
  • Load waste drums onto a truck trailer using a fork lift
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Work to promote safe and responsible operations. Ashland is committed to protecting its employees and the community.

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Massachusetts wastewater treatment license I-4 or above
  • Driver’s license, Massachusetts state law requires a fork lift operator to be licensed.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a test of reading, mathematics and listening skills and a medical examination.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • HS Graduate
  • Two to five years+ of experience operating an industrial wastewater plant

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

 

  •          Basic knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) such as Honeywell
