Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Inventory Control Coordinator to join our Supply Chain group at our Dublin, OH location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Supply Chain/Logistics function. This position will report to Logistics Manager, Transportation & Warehousing.

Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

This person is responsible for operational support for all 3PL warehouse locations for inventory control and to ensure timely and efficient processing of orders.  It encompasses approximately 12 primary locations ($10M annual spend, 450M Lbs stored); activities include

    • Assist 3PL warehouses with inventory control (i.e. allocations, blocks, invoicing, stock transfer orders, reclassifications, troubleshooting, etc).
    • Assist with inbound and outbound processing whenever necessary
    • Adjust inventory / order status daily
    • Lead cycle counts as required; including associated quarterly reporting and all discrepancy investigations.
    • Coordinate SMOG broker sale process & warehouse related inventory disposal activities (Approx. 2M Lbs of warehouse disposal inventory in 2017; $550K disposal spend).
    • Record and investigate warehousing related complaints (AIRS/QIM)
    • Back up to the primary Transportation Management System (TMS) load planner

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; attention to detail, reliable and responsible to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • SAP Experience

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • 3+ years experience in supply chain or College degree in supply chain
  • Logistics background in warehousing
  • Bachelors degree
  • Domestic transportation and transportation management system experience (including small parcel, LTL, truckload, expedite)
