Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales representative in our narrow web, UV/EB adhesives & coatings in the Laminating Adhesives & Coatings business at our Dublin, Ohio location. This position is responsible for growing the business by developing opportunities within this narrow web segment with Ashland’s extensive product offering, and fielding basic technical questions and requests. The candidate will manage all activities with the customer base with an emphasis on responsiveness, building strong customer relationships, prospecting new applications, identifying new product initiatives, fielding basic technical questions and closing sustainable and profitable new business. This position will report to Sales Manager, Laminating Adhesives and Coatings.

Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Safety - maintain a safe, injury-free environment through promptly addressing any identified safety deficiencies
  • Maintain and grow sales within a defined inside sales territory. Build a database of prospects within territory as well.
  • Work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. Inside Sales representatives work to find new sales leads through business directories, direct sales team referrals, in-bound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Inside sales reps are friendly, well-spoken and ready to close the deal.
  • Coordinates with the respective Product and Industry Managers to develop marketing activities and with the Technical Service and Product Development to progress technical developments in the region
  • Maintain activities including: call reports, opportunity development, competitor assessment, sales forecasting, market data extraction, etc
  • Develop and implement individual account strategies. Maintain wide reaching contacts within all levels of the customers' organization.

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • BS in chemistry or related science or engineering field or Relevant sales experience in same
  • Technical or sales experience in UV/EB adhesives, coatings or resins
  • 3+ years applied industrial experience
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
