    Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Radiation Curable Applications Chemist to join our Laminating Adhesives and Coatings group at our Dublin, Ohio location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Technical Service function. This position will report to Technical Service Manager, Packaging and Converting team.


    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


    Product Development and Modifications

    • Modify products as needed for specific customer applications.
    • Make recommendations on new product/service and application requirements.
    • Perform lab work required to document modification improvements. 
    • Design, develop and commercialize innovative products to meet customer needs and application requirements

    Sales Alignment

    • Support assigned Account Managers in their role of customer support.
    • Provide product line presentations to customers when requested by Sales in an effort for continued customer growth.
    • Work as a joint “Team” with the Account Manager in developing customer relationships and future growth.


    Customer Support

    • Assist customers by providing the best product recommendations possible.
    • Develop strong relationships at each customer location.
    • Identify opportunities for our customers to improve their productivity and quality.
    • Conduct Ashland product training as needed to increase their knowledge of Ashland products to support future sales growth.
    • Take the lead role in Customer Complaint Resolution.
    • Lead field trials.
    • Handle all EHS concerns identified by our customers. 


    Travel requirement: 40-60%

    **This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

    **This position is located in Dublin, OH.


    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    • BS in science or engineering with laboratory experience preferred.
    • 3+ years Industrial experience in formulating and laboratory testing
    • 3+ years experience with energy curable adhesives and coatings
    • Eligible to work in the U.S.
