Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a experienced sales professional to join our Personal Care team in EMEA and drive growth of our business in Germany. This is a critical role within our organization and will report to Sales Director Care EMEA.


The position holder will be responsible for achieving business plan targets and implementing the global and European segment strategies to the German market. This will require developing and executing tactical plans, projects and driving them to commercial success. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and maintaining relationships at all levels at our direct accounts and distributors.


We are looking for a motivated sales professional with sound experience within the care industry, strong drive and self-initiative.


**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.


The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Delivers the business plan for the assigned territory and accounts: sales volume, revenues and profits
  • Ensures timely new products introduction to achieve target of NPI sales
  • Proactively seeks information about Customers strategy and product launches
  • Coordinates activities related to the projects with the Customer on the products application and development. Closely cooperate with Technical Experts to make sure project meets Customer needs.
  • Contributes his/her insights and guidelines to the regional strategy and account plan. Implements accordingly.
  • Provides accurate quarterly and monthly sales forecast
  • Handles Customers product quality and regulatory requirements


In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:


  • Minimum BS degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales positions gained at the chemical business
  • In-depth understanding of the Care industry, key market players, trends, strategies
  • Proven ability to create strong relationships with customers
  • Strong business development and sales execution skills
  • Strong track of record of collaboration with extensive stakeholders ecosystems
  • Fluent German
