Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Radiation Curable Chemist to join our Technical Service group at our Dublin, Ohio location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the commercial function. This position will report to Technical Service Manager, Packaging and Converting.

Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Member of a team that develops new laminating adhesive and coating products.
  • Develop UV and EB curable laminating adhesives and coatings to meet our customer’s equipment and performance requirements.
  • Interface with marketing, sales and manufacturing functions.
  • Provide creative and insightful solutions to customer application issues.
  • Make presentations to customers and at industry symposia.
  • Successfully lead the tactical plans for product development projects, including development, scale up and commercialization.
  • Travel required: 10-20%

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

**This position is located in Dublin, OH.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • BS in chemistry or related science or engineering field
  • Industrial experience in synthesizing and formulating UV/EB adhesives, coatings or resins
  • 3+ years applied industrial experience
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
