Overview

The Team

Ashland’s Internal Audit Department is an independent, objective assurance and advisory services team adding value and improving the organization’s operations.  A systematic, disciplined approach is used to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.  We assist members of the organization in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by furnishing them with analyses, appraisals, recommendations, and counsel, and by promoting effective control and compliance at reasonable cost.

 

Our team consists of 18 professionals located in four US locations, and three overseas locations, i.e., Rotterdam, The Netherlands; Schaffhausen, Switzerland; and Hyderabad, India.  We are a diverse and international team with great team environment focused on project execution.

Description

The Position

As an Intern, you will assist Auditors in day-to-day audit tasks which could include document review, data analysis, control effectiveness evaluation, risk assessment, audit report compilation.  You will also assist in testing Sarbanes-Oxley key controls.  You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects exposing to different areas of the company. You will have access to hands-on audit work experience in a Corporate/Internal Audit environment that will leverage your academic learning to develop new skills and capabilities.

This intern program is located in our Dublin, OH office and is intended to provide 3-9 months of learning experience.

 

This is a temporary part-time position.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed two years towards undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • GPA of 3.25 or above
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and learning skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook and comfortable learning new systems
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
