Overview

The Production Supervisor of Pharmachem Laboratories, Inc. Manufacturing Plant is responsible for supervising plant operations to obtain optimum efficiency and maximize profits. Responsibilities include EH&S administration, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and planning. The incumbent is accountable to the Vice President of Pharmachem Manufacturing for achieving profit/loss goals and the attainment of current and long-term objectives.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Major Duties: 

  • Responsible for supporting EH&S along with the ZIC culture.
  • Responsible for all manufacturing operations.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to all plant personnel. Supervises, motivates and directs employees to obtain optimal productivity. Ensures effective staffing, training, and development of the organization as well as develops succession plans for future growth and stability.
  • Responds to production problems and pursues / implements remedies to such problems.
  • Ensures adherence and compliance with all company policies, procedures and practices of all plant personnel.
  • Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of finished goods, work in process and raw materials.
  • Acts as Operations liaison with inter company customers.
  • Ensures new product introductions are supported and executed to the established project plans.
  • Assumes responsibility for costs, cost saving initiatives, methods, and budgets.
  • Works with Corporate departments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Promotes constant and effective communication channels at all levels to maintain a stable and productive work climate.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

**This position is located in Kearny, NJ.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering required. 
  • 5 to 10 years of general management .experience in the Nutritional Supplements industry required.
  • Black Seal Boiler license is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface with production and supervisory personnel.
  • Ability to work in a Total Quality Management/Continuous Improvement environment.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office software.
  • Preferred SAP Computer background.
  • This position requires intermittent weekend coverage.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
