Do you have experience in the Health and Wellness arena? Ashland has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sales Manager for this growing business!

Ashland is seeking a motivated, capable, and driven Sales Manager to lead our team of 8 people across the nation.

Description

This position will have responsibility for driving the growth of Ashland’s Health and Wellness business segment. The desired candidate will have 7 to 10 years’ experience in a Sales Management role. They will be able to demonstrate past successes in managing a team of sales professionals to achieving defined business goals.

 

Sales Manager will have had extensive experience selling to the Food Ingredient, Nutritional and Dietary Supplement industries and be familiar with the requirements of those industries.

 

Manager will have previously held P&L responsibility, have managed price and contract negotiations in addition to delivering growth through a healthy opportunity pipeline. 

 

A knowledge of selling contract manufacturing services such as powder processing and handling would also be advantageous although not an absolute necessity.   

 

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

**This position can be located in Bridgewater, NJ or Wilmington, DE or a remote office.

Qualifications

  • Seven to ten years’ experience in the management of a team of sales professionals required
  • BS degree in a relevant field required. MBA is preferred.
  • Experience selling to the Food Ingredient, Nutritional, and Dietary Supplement Industries required.
  • Valid driver license is required
  • 30% travel with overnight stays is required
  • Has held P&L responsibility
  • Experienced in contract negotiation
  • Relevant industry knowledge and contacts
  • Familiarity with the full Microsoft Office suite; Experience with the SalesForce customer relationship management system an advantage.
