Ashland has a great opportunity in Dublin, OH! As an operator in the Dublin Pilot Plant, you will be responsible for running pilot-scale chemical operations in support of the development of new products across Ashland’s business lines.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Safe and efficient operation of various pieces of chemical process equipment, both automated and manual
  • Enter data accurately into manual logs and various computer programs
  • Order raw materials and supplies through SAP
  • Complete preventative maintenance on the process equipment
  • Repair or replace equipment when needed to maintain functionality
  • Day Shift position with some overtime.

The Pilot Plant Operator will report to the Pilot Plant Supervisor. 

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

**This position is located in Dublin, OH.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree
  • Good time management skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Physical ability to lift 50-lb bags and move 55-gallon drums onto a drum scale
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the chemistry and processing of thermosetting resins 
  • Familiarity with Delta V distributed control system
  • Familiarity with the production and characterization of thermoset composites
