Ashland LLC has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor.
**The position is in Philadelphia, PA.
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for directly supervising a work group of 4 or 5 mechanics. You will also be responsible for managing maintenance contractors and ordering parts and materials to support maintenance activities. You will provide assistance troubleshooting maintenance and production problems as necessary. Your role will involve participation in continuous improvement initiatives including improving maintenance effectiveness and productivity, involvement in the environmental, health, safety, and security aspects for the facility and some minor project work.
**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.
To qualify you need the following:
*Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a chemical plant environment.
* Strong mechanical skills. A working knowledge of electrical equipment and systems.
* Experience directly supervising maintenance mechanics and managing contractors.
* Knowledge of instrumentation and Distributed Control Systems (Delta V) a strong plus
* Strong computer skills with knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
* Strong communication skills.
* Must be a team player yet work independently to achieve goals.
* Knowledge of Maximo and/or SAP is a plus.
