Ashland LLC has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a HR Coordinator to join our team at our campus located in Wilmington, DE.  


The HR Coordinator will serve as the first line of support to the HR team and business leaders. This support will include various routine and administrative human resources tasks, as well as support in areas such as recruitment, reporting, and all annual HR processes. 



  • Enter, submit and ensure completion of various HR actions to include promotions, transfers, organization changes, terminations, etc. Assist with interview scheduling, offer letters and conducting local orientation meetings
  • Process new hires as needed to accommodate increase in volume, vacations, and leaves.
  • Manage exit process for all voluntary and involuntary terminations to include processing paperwork, scheduling exit interviews, completing all activities on the termination checklist, etc.
  • Perform various general administrative tasks to include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, complete expense reports and creating reports and presentations as necessary.
  • Work closely with the HR team and business leaders on annual HR processes. (example: merit, succession planning and incentives).
  • Process invoices, monthly chargebacks, and purchase requisitions for POs; track expenses, respond to vendor inquires.
  • Prepare reports for using information from iCIMS, iQlik, Workday, SAP and other sources.
  • Coordinate with HR Operations and Law to ensure Federal and State compliance posters are kept up to date.
  • Perform special projects in a variety of areas that may require coordination with personnel in other departments and the community: job fairs, intern meetings, etc.

**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.


Desired Candidate Skills/Experience 

  • HS Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of administrative and/or coordinator experience in an HR department with the ability to support multiple functions and individuals. HR training and/or experience highly desired.
  • Experience in a large corporate environment preferred
  • ERP system knowledge – Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP and Workday preferred
  • HR Process Knowledge – Knowledgeable and experience in administratively managing various HR processes (merit, talent development, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office – Skilled in Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
  • Communicate clearly and effectively; oral and written.
  • Process improvement oriented
  • Proactive and a self-starter
  • Interpersonal savvy - able to build positive working relationships, and manage difficult and emotional situations effectively
