Description

Duties include but not restricted to:

  • Follow all safety rules, regulations, operating procedures, work Instructions, corporate/plant policies & laws
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and cleaning in area to ensure a safe working environment
  • Manufacture of resin blends, which includes charging raw materials, transferring resins to and from base resin storage and maintaining all associated logs and documentation
  • Safely handle numerous liquid and solid raw materials used in the blending process by following established procedures and instructions
  • Use of the Delta V process control system
  • Loading finished product into 55 gal drums
  • Proper handling and identification of hazardous waste
  • Successfully complete training in environmental, health, safety and security procedures, including handling of hazardous materials and emergency procedures
  • Successfully complete introductory and safety training
  • Operate process equipment (valves, hoses, etc.)
  • Lift truck operation
  • Participation in team efforts to improve safety, employee satisfaction, quality and productivity

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required 
  • Prior experience in a chemical plant is desirable 
  • 2+ years of experience  in a manufacturing/industrial setting required
  • Able to work an overnight shift Monday-Friday 9:30PM-5:30AM 
  • Physical requirements include, but are not limited to handling 50 lb. bags, walking/standing/lifting for prolonged periods, wearing respiratory equipment in accordance with the Ashland Respiratory Protection Plan
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Must pass drug and physical screenings
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to work with computers
  • Authorized to work in the United States

 Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proven team and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of piping systems operation
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in blending in a manufacturing environment
  • Industrial Experience
