Overview

Ashland is seeking an individual with Supply Chain Sales and Distribution (SD) skills to join our IT ERP Process Team.  This role supports Ashland’s use of SAP’s SD functionality, with an emphasis on Sales Order and Delivery Processing, Credit / FSCM, and Pricing.

 

**This position is available in Wilmington, Bridgewater, Lexington, or Dublin.

 

Description

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work with relationship managers and internal customers to understand business process, challenges, and requirements to help design business solutions and help charter IT projects.
  • Serve as a functional consultant to translate new business requirements into solutions comprised of available SAP and/or SAP-related tools.  Includes responsibility for designing, validating, implementing, and supporting final solutions
  • Support the roll-out of SAP to new Ashland locations
  • Support and drive process improvements within Ashland’s existing SAP Order to Cash (OTC) and Plan to Deliver (PTD) designs
  • Provide education and support to end users to maximize the benefit of SAP to their daily job functions

Support and drive internal IT process improvements

 
**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.

 

Qualifications

Desired:

  • EDI / E-Commerce experience a plus
  • SAP Implementation experience
  • Visio / MS Project skills
  • SAP output management knowledge
  • Basic ABAP debugging capabilities
  • Understanding of agile methodologies

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
  • Listening:  Ability to accurately translate spoken user requirements into high-level project charters, including work effort estimates
  • Writing:  Ability to convert high-level project charters / concepts into written design documents, flowcharts and written functional specification documents
  • Speaking:  Ability to speak clearly with all levels in the organization, especially SAP end users who need help and direction
  • Proven project management skills
  • Identify specific, required work steps
  • Create organized, written project plans
  • Work with small and large teams as required to execute project plans
  • Understanding of OTC integration with FI, especially basic accounting postings that result from invoice creation and cash application.  
  • QA testing experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative problem solver
  • 6+ years SAP SD configuration and support experience
  • Credit / FSCM configuration knowledge
  • Pricing configuration knowledge
  • SD module security knowledge
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
  • Independent, inquisitive, self-starter capable of working in groups or individually
