Ashland is seeking a CPD Operator to join our team. The operator must follow all safety rules, regulations, operating procedures, blend instructions, and corporate/plant policies and laws at all times.


Responsibilites include:

  • Operate the MA Pastillating Process following all rules and procedures, including maintaining associated logs and paperwork.
  • Dispose of all hazardous and contaminated refuse per plant procedures.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping/cleaning in area to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
  • Unload tank wagons of PR raw materials following proper procedures and instructions. 
  • Load and unload trucks of dry goods or materials in drums. 
  • Properly fill out all paperwork associated with use and transfer of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Load tank wagons with polyester resin by following established proedures and instructions, including maintaining all logs and paperwork with loading.
  • Write work orders for broken equipment.
  • Unload railcars, pump out dikes, gauge tanks, pump fumed silica, and unload/load drum from and into trailers.
  • Insure that all hazardous waste shipments comply with government laws and regulations including labeling and drum condition, including maintaining all associated logs and paperwork.
  • Package, label, and prepare all raw material and finished product samples for shipment.
  • Spot tankwagons with the yard tractor.
  • Safely drive a forklift to move drums/pallets. Perform daily checks on forklifts.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.

At all times, all employees must follow all aspects of Responsible Care and security for the facility.


  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as needed - this includes a hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, face shields, rubber boots, gloves, respirators, gas masks, and SCBA.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Position will require driving a forklift. Must have valid driver license. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work inside (5-10%) and outside (90-95%) during 8 hour work day in all temperatures. 
  • Must be able to wear a full face and half-face respirator.
  • Ability to read instructions, discern various color tests, and listen to equipment and alarms. 
  • Job will require continuous standing for 8-12 hour periods, along with climbing stairs for loading and the tank farm.
  • Must be able to lift and carry large loads (30-55 lbs., depending on task) repeatedly throughout shift.
